Activities
Director
Plans, develops, organizes, implements, evaluates
and directs the Activities Department in accordance with current
existing Federal, State, and local standards, as well as Rockingham
County Nursing Home established policies and procedures; to assure
that residents receive a well rounded choice of daily activities.
Admissions
Director
Establish a presence in local hospitals and
referral sources in the area. Facilitate the intake of patients
from the hospital and or community in order to provide the highest
quality care in accordance with Rockingham County’s Long Term Care
Services standards by ensuring accurate medical and financial
information is obtained prior to admission.
Deputy Sheriff
Deputy Sheriffs enforce the laws of the United
States and the State of New Hampshire, protect the citizens and keep
the peace. Deputy Sheriffs enforce criminal laws, motor vehicle
laws, serve civil process and transport prisoners consistent with
the Department’s Rules and Regulations and Standard Operating
Procedures.

Laundry Aide II
Retrieves and sorts residents’ personal laundry or
facility’s soiled linens for washing. Loads, operates and unloads
washers and dryers using appropriate soaps and/or chemicals. Uses
irons, folds and places laundry in baskets, on carts, hangers or
shelves. Sorts residents’ personal items for delivery to appropriate
floor and room, delivers carts of clean linens and clothes to
appropriate area or linen room and advises supervisor of any
problems with machines. Accompanies any inmates working on
deliveries, breaks or other movements within facility, cleans
machines and disposes of trash. Ensures all health and safety
regulations, policies and procedures are followed. Assists in
maintaining cleanliness and organization of the department.
Legal Assistant
(part time)
Transcribes, drafts, files and mails legal
correspondence and pleadings. Prepares and processes various legal
documents and enters and updates computer records, past, present and
future. General secretarial duties including handling telephone
calls, providing accurate telephone messages and some reception.
Provides clerical support to prosecuting attorneys as assigned.
Produces a professional and meticulously accurate work product.
Provides general secretarial support where needed in all things
incidental to the prosecution efforts of the office. Assist
attorneys in the prosecution of cases in the various courts in New
Hampshire
Recreational Aide I
Develops and leads programs and individual
activity interventions that meet the social, religious, physical and
cognitive needs of all residents. Performs program support services
such as transporting patients, assembling equipment and preparing
and maintaining work areas as activity indicates and/or directed by
professional staff. Plans and participates in community outings,
including transporting residents on facility van. Maintains
organization of supplies, care/maintenance of equipment and advises
supervisor of need for supplies. Assists in selected aspects of
patient services as assigned such as feeding, transfers, mobility
and transporting. Also assists in the care of nursing home animal
and pets on a rotating basis and greenhouse maintenance. Maintains
and completes any required assigned documentation or other daily
related paperwork to ensure timeliness and accuracy. Attends various
department meetings and in-service trainings to maintain knowledge
and certification/licensure. Assists in the orientation of new
employees. Works with volunteer(s) and interacts with residents’
family and the public.
Shift
Technician/General Maintenance
Services, repairs and troubleshoots oil and wood
biomass fired boilers, low and high pressure boiler support
equipment, low and high pressure steam systems, HVAC/R and pneumatic
systems. Performs preventive maintenance as required or assigned, of
equipment, buildings, and systems. Participates in the annual tear
down, cleaning and re-assembly of the boilers. Inspects the plant,
records readings and prepares reports as needed. Participates in
completion of the plant log to ensure twenty-four hour continuity of
information for all shift technicians and for administration.
Prepares and submits work orders annotating work performed and
materials used during the shift and other reports as requested.
Takes readings and prepares chemical solutions as needed for the
boiler feed water systems. Responds to fire alarm activations and
all other emergency situations at the County Complex. Responds to
calls from the facility personnel, exercising practical mechanics in
areas including plumbing, steam, electrical, boilers, pumps,
compressors, carpentry, lock repair, hospital/nursing homes repairs
(e.g., bed rails and nurse’s call stations). Performs regular tours
of the complex buildings and grounds, inspecting for safe and proper
operations and conditions, affecting repairs and/or reporting
findings as needed. Participates in cross training with other
divisions within the Engineering & Maintenance Services department;
may be required to assist co-workers with their job
responsibilities. Provides shift coverage at the Department of
Corrections facility. Assists in plowing and shoveling snow and the
general maintenance of the buildings and grounds.

Hazardous duty: $25.00 per week
Shift Differential: $1.25 per hour on 2nd and 3rd shift
Weekend Premium: $1.00 per hour all shifts

Scope: Correctional Officer is responsible for the care, custody and
control of inmate population. Provides a safe environment by
enforcing policy and procedures. Good sight, good hearing, walk,
climb stairs, the ability to separate inmates when necessary, manual
dexterity, ability to communicate verbally and written. Sit, stand,
walk, push, pull, bend, reach, grasp, read, follow directions and
orders. Also take counts of prisoners. Transporting inmates, serving
meals to inmates, participate in block searches. Good interaction
skills. Building searches.
Requirements: Experience preferably in the field of law enforcement
or corrections, with an ability to deal effectively with all types
of people. Must have a high school diploma or equivalency to qualify
for NH Association of Counties “Corrections Officer Academy”
Certification. Must be able to pass physical requirements of Group
II Retirement Certification. Individuals must possess these
knowledge’s, skills, and abilities or be able to explain and
demonstrate that the individual can perform the essential functions
of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some of
the combination of skills and abilities and to possess the necessary
physical requirements with or without the aid of mechanical devices
to safely perform the essential functions of the job. Must possess a
current and valid driver’s license. Good writing skills with the
ability to articulate well. Good interaction skills, good health as
described, must pass polygraph test and other duties as assigned.

No experience necessary. Follows all health and safety regulations,
rules and procedures. Cleans rooms, offices, lobbies, lounges, rest
rooms, corridors, elevators, closets and stairways. Sweeps, dry
mops, vacuums and damp mops floors, dusts furniture and appliances,
washes walls, ceilings, beds, windows, door panels and woodwork.
Empties wastebaskets and transports trash and other waste materials
to disposal area. Refills and secures chemicals, maintains supply
